Mazda5 RE Hydrogen
Mazda has always tried to minimise environmental pollution. Helping to conserve the world's resources helps to create a better society, now and in the future.
The Mazda5 Hydrogen RE Hybrid, an eco-friendly concept-car, employs Mazda's unique hydrogen rotary engine technology with an electric motor. Intuitive positioning sees the petrol-powered engine placed at the front in a front-wheel drive layout, the battery pack under the central row of seats and the hydrogen tank where Mazda5's third row of seats would normally be. This allows optimal packaging for a Mazda5 concept that seats five people without sacrificing comfort.
There's 154 Kw (210 PS) of power when running on petrol and 80 Kw (109 PS) on hydrogen. Meanwhile, whenever you're stationary or stuck in traffic, you always save on fuel. So there's hardly any waste and fewer emissions
